The sonic cosmos of RAGING SLOTH, a Doom and Sludge band founded in Munich in 2018, thrives on the contrast between frenzy and sluggishness. The trio sees itself in the tradition of the genre’s “Great Old Ones”, crafting a menacing blend of massive, oppressive walls of sound and furious, hard-hitting groove riffs.
Alongside numerous shows at home and abroad, RAGING SLOTH have shared the stage with bands such as Ahab, Valborg, Thronehammer, Haeresis and appeared at festivals including Keep it Low Festival 2024, Mammut Festival 2024, and Fury Field Open Air, all of which have left a lasting mark on the band.
In September 2023, RAGING SLOTH released their debut EP “The Descent,” which received highly positive reviews — including top marks in the print edition of Guitar Magazine. The release was followed by a 2024 tour featuring more than 20 shows across Germany and abroad.
