WAS FÜR EIN MONSTRUM. Die drei Münchner überraschen mit einem Statement, mit dem sie im internationalen Kontext mühelos mithalten können. Eine perfekte Mischung aus Bongrippers Simplizität und Black-Tongues-Dystopie. The Descent ist perfekt in Feel, Timing und Sound - eine Platte, die seit dem ersten Hören täglich läuft. Der tighte aber fuzzige Gitarrensound hat etwas ganz eigenes, Bass und Schlagzeug füllen drum herum in Perfektion auf. Harmonisch geht es kaum simpler, rhythmisch nachvollziehbar, aber durch Synkopen und diverse Spielereien interessant gehalten. Die kehligen Deathgrowls und gelegentlichen Solo-Ausbrüche der Gitarre machen das Ding echt kurzweilig. Perfekt!

WHAT A MONSTER. The three Munich musicians surprise with a statement with which they can easily hold their own in an international context. A perfect blend of Bongripper's simplicity and Black Tongues dystopia. The Descent is perfect in feel, timing and sound - a record that has been playing every day since the first listen. The tight but fuzzy guitar sound has something all of its own, with bass and drums filling it out to perfection. Harmonically it could hardly be simpler, rhythmically comprehensible, but kept interesting by syncopations and various gimmicks. The throaty deathgrowls and occasional solo outbursts from the guitar make this thing really entertaining. Perfect!
